In June 2015, Leyton Legal was set up to provide employment legal services to businesses and individuals and now has offices in London and Glasgow. Leyton Legal wanted to address the difficulties employers have in finding reliable and professional employment law support. Often, employers can find that HR Consultancies do not give the level of service they require, but then also find that solicitor’s fees can prove too costly for day-to-day support. Leyton Legal seeks to bridge that gap. All of our advisers are qualified solicitors with a wealth of experience in employment law. As an employer client of Leyton Legal, you will be encouraged to call with any issue, however small, so that it can be resolved before it becomes a problem. We will also guide you through employment processes and procedures, and can draft meeting scripts, letters and policies for you as well providing telephone and written advice. In return, you pay us an agreed monthly fee which is based on our assessment of your ongoing employment law requirements. This fee is generally far lower than you would pay for similar advice from a traditional solicitor’s firm.
Should you require any additional services, Leyton Legal can give you a fixed cost for this, and our prices are reasonable and very competitive. Our services in this respect include Tribunal work, training on all areas of employment law for your staff, project work such as a large redundancy process or TUPE exercise, and drafting and reviewing contracts and handbooks. If you prefer we can include some of this work in your monthly service plan.
